Overview of Tax Service

pGirlComputer We get to work Day One! Within one business day of retaining our Firm, we’ll contact the IRS and inform them of our representation.   We’ll stop the harassment  and handle your case from start to finish so you can live your life again.

The primary goals of our representation are:

  • Stop the IRS from engaging in Enforced Collection Efforts.
  • Negotiate an agreeable resolution with the IRS.
  • Ensure you are treated fairly throughout the process.

We do this by:

  • Thoroughly researching your case directly with the IRS for the purpose of understanding exactly what the IRS is requesting from you and verifying the validity of the information.
  • File all necessary tax returns and other documents to take advantage of every legal deduction to lower the total amount of tax you owe.
  • Negotiate a final resolution with the IRS.

Specific Steps:

  1. Initial Consultation- When you call or visit our Firm, we will conduct a thorough analysis of your specific situation.  At that point we will determine if we can help you.  If so, we’ll review your options with you.
  2. Retain Our Firm– Once you hire us, we will contact the IRS generally within one business day to inform the IRS that we now represent you.  At this point the IRS will no longer call you regarding your case, the IRS will only contact us during the term of our representation. You may continue to receive letters and notices.
  3. Documents We Need From You.  Your Case Manager or our Enrolled Agent will provide you a list of documents we will need from you to complete our work on your case.  To be successful, it is important you return these documents to us as soon as possible.  Frequently, we are up against strict deadlines.  The sooner you provide us with documents, the sooner we can resolve your case.

  6. Compliance.  Once you have accurately filed all of your past and current tax returns, and if you are self employed and are current in making monthly estimated tax payments.   You are now in compliance with Federal Tax Law.
  7. IRS Decision. Some services require a final decision by the IRS or the IRS Agent assigned to your case.  Please be patient, the IRS requires time to review documents and make a decision.  Generally, once the IRS receives your package, it takes 30-90 days to receive a response.
  8. Resolution.   Upon receipt of a decision from the IRS we will prepare the necessary forms and documents specific to your case.  As noted above, some IRS forms require your “live” signature before submission to the IRS.  In this circumstance, we will prepare all necessary forms and documents directly to you for your signature.  In turn, you will send the necessary documents to the IRS.  For your convenience, we include a pre-addressed postage paid envelope as well as complete instructions.
